Our commitment
Marc Preston is committed to making marcpreston.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We continually work to improve the experience for all visitors and to apply the relevant accessibility standards.
Standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
Current status
This website partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conforms” means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard.
What we’ve done
- Tested the site in November 2026 using automated tools and manual checks, and fixed the issues found.
- Added text descriptions to every image, including the page headers, photos and video thumbnails.
- Gave every video in the Viewing Room a title that screen readers announce.
- Gave every page one main heading and marked its header, main content and footer, with a working “Skip to main content” link.
- Darkened light gray text so it meets contrast standards.
Known limitations
- The volume buttons in the audio player on the Audio Demos page come from an outside plugin and are not announced by screen readers. Your device’s volume controls work as usual.
- Video samples play through YouTube. Captions on some videos are generated automatically by YouTube and may contain errors.
- Audio demos are voice performance samples and don’t have written transcripts.
- If anything on our site is hard to use, contact us and we’ll provide the information, a transcript or a description in another way.
